Bellows AFS is a 437-acre oasis tucked away on the Windward side of O’ahu. We are located in Waimanalo town, approximately 27 miles from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The main gate (on Tinker Road) is 2.1 miles from Kalaniana’ole Highway.

TheBus is the City and County of Honolulu’s public transportation. This cost-saving option offers extensive routes and destinations with special visitor passes for multi-day use. However, the nearest bus stop is on Kalanianaʻole Highway, approximately 3.5 miles from the main gate.
From Daniel K. Inouye International Airport/Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam:
Take the H-1 Westbound (Waianae).
Exit 13b (H-3 Kaneohe/Honolulu) to get to the H-3 freeway.
Exit 11 (Kamehameha Hwy/Kaneohe) and turn right to get onto Kamehameha Hwy.
Turn left onto Kalaniana’ole Hwy to go toward Kailua/Waimanalo.
At the third light, next to Adventist Health/Castle Medical Center, pull into the far right lane and follow it to the right. You will still be on Kalaniana’ole Hwy Drive through the town of Waimanalo. The Bellows AFS sign will be on the left for Tinker Rd.
Proceed down Tinker Rd until you reach the Bellows Air Force Station gate with guard.
Check-in is located at Bldg. 220 Turtle Cove.
ALTERNATE ROUTES
In case of freeway closures or for directions from the south side (Honolulu/Waikiki) of the island:
Likelike Highway
Exit 20a (63 North Likelike Highway) from either direction on the H-1 freeway.
At the second light after you exit the tunnel, turn right onto Kamehameha Hwy.
At the fifth light, turn left onto Kalaniana’ole Hwy to go toward Kailua/Waimanalo.
At the third light, next to Adventist Health/Castle Medical Center, pull into the far right lane and follow it to the right. You will still be on Kalaniana’ole Hwy Drive through the town of Waimanalo. The Bellows AFS sign will be on the left for Tinker Rd.
Proceed down Tinker Rd until you reach the Bellows Air Force Station gate with guard.
Pali Highway
Exit 21b (61 North Pali Highway) from either direction on the H-1 freeway.
At the fourth light after you exit the tunnels, next to Adventist Health/Castle Medical Center, pull into the far right lane and follow it to the right. You will be on Kalaniana’ole Hwy Drive through the town of Waimanalo. The Bellows AFS sign will be on the left for Tinker Rd.
