Sustainability

Bellows Air Force Station is green and constantly strives to be greener and to provide service with meaning. We are committed to providing the highest quality of customer service while enhancing our environment. Wherever possible and practical, recycled paper is used for printed materials. Our logistics and recycling program monitors and separates waste into various categories. By reducing the quantity of towels we wash, we conserve water and detergent while reducing energy consumption. We are dedicated to conserving our resources and preventing pollution to ensure a prosperous future for generations to come.

Our People

The Bellows Team consists of both active duty and DoD Civilians working together with a full complement of administrative programs and oversight found at most large Wings.

Our Mascot, The Green Sea Turtle (Honu)

Sea turtles have roamed Earth’s oceans for the last 100 million years and are the only herbivores among the various sea turtle species. These humble creatures are a key component to our ocean’s ecosystem. In ancient Hawai`i, some revered the turtles as guardian spirits (`aumakua) that watched over family members to keep them safe.
