Who can use the facilities, services and programs at Bellows AFS?

 

Active Duty Military, Military Retirees, Reservists, National Guardsmen, Current and Retired DoD civilian employees are eligible to use the facilities, services and programs at Bellows AFS. Authorized users may sponsor family members and friends as their guests.

 

 

I am trying to make a reservation online, and it only shows a campsite, pavilion, or nothing available, for the dates I am requesting, am I doing something wrong?

 

No, you are not doing anything wrong. The reason that there are no cabins are, is due to a "sold-out" status for the dates you are requesting. Unfortunately, our online reservations system (Webres) does not show a monthly calendar for our guests to view availability, and you are required to enter other dates for your reservation. We are currently looking into other options for our online reservations system. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience, while we work towards implementing a better system.

 

 

Do your cabins have air conditioning?

 

 

The majority of the cabins do not have air conditioning; however, they do have ceiling fans in bedrooms and living room. 
The Mokulua Recreational Units have central air conditioning and ceiling fans.

 

Are campfires allowed at Bellows?

Campfires are ONLY ALLOWED IN THE GROUP SITE CAMP area, (fire pits provided) and cannot exceed 4 feet in height. Campfires are prohibited in Family Camp Sites.  In camping areas, portable charcoal grills, gas/oil stoves and similar type equipment are permitted for ONLY outdoor cooking. No cooking unit may be placed directly on the ground. The cutting, pruning, or stripping of trees or shrubs is strictly prohibited at Bellows AFS.

 

Are pets/animals allowed at Bellows AFS?

Pets/animals are not allowed at Bellows AFS, with the exception of service animals with proper documentation.


Can I reserve more than one cabin?

Yes, Authorized ID cardholders can reserve a maximum of 2 Cabins, if available. We cannot guarantee that your cabins will be side by side, but we try our absolute best to accommodate your request.

Can I reserve more than one campsite?

Yes, Authorized users may occupy two campsites simultaneously. 

Can I change my reservation start date?

If your reservation does not include a weekend or holiday then changes can be made 14 days prior to your reservation with no charge. However, when a reservation includes a Friday, Saturday or Federal holiday, the beginning reservation date may not be changed without canceling the entire reservation.

Can I make camping reservations for more than two weeks?

Campsites may be reserved for a period of one day to a maximum of 21 days, and may be   extended for an additional seven days at a time, if a vacancy exists.

Can I make, cancel or change my reservations online?

 

 

Reservations or cancellations can be made online, by phone or in person. Please go to bellowsafs.com or contact our Reservations Office at 808.259.8080. 

Can I reserve cabins for more than two weeks?                                                                 

 

The maximum stay is 21 days during off season and may be extended in seven day increments. *Providing space is available and with managements approval.

 

Can you confirm my reservation?

Any questions regarding your reservations must be made by calling our Reservations Office at 808.259.8080.

Do campsites have electricity?

There is no electricity provided at any campsite area.

Does Bellows have a Laundromat?

A small "coin operated" self serve-launderette is provided by AAFES, and open 24 hours.

 

Do you have a waiting list for the cabins?


Due to lack of manpower, we do not provide a waiting list. You are welcome to call periodically to check for availability and cancellations. Please call the Reservations Office at 808.259.8080 for more information.

Do you provide transportation to Bellows AFS?

Transportation is not provided to Bellows AFS. Please visit our links page, located under the home tab, for information on transportation.

How do I sponsor guests onto Bellows AFS?

For procedures, please see Event Planning checklist located under Security Tab on top toolbar, or call 808-259-4493 for more information.

How far in advance can I make reservations?

Reservations are taken up to 13 months in advance if your reservation is made through the online reservations program.(web-res) 
All other reservations are made up to 1 year in advance, prior to the desired date of occupancy for all authorized users. This does not apply for the summer season which is from Memorial Day Weekend, to Labor Day Weekend. During the summer season, priority is given to Active Duty Air Force Military personnel who may make reservations 90 days prior to the desired date of occupancy. All other Active Duty Military may make reservations up to 75 days prior to desired date of occupancy. All other authorized users; Military retirees, Reservists, National Guardsmen and current/retired DoD civilian employees may make reservations up to 60 days prior to desired date of occupancy.

How many people/tents are allowed at the campsites?

Family Camp Sites allows up to 10 registered overnight guests per site and two tents.
(NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED AT FAMILY CAMPSITES)


Group Sites, allow up to 75 registered overnight guests, and up to 15 tents. (CAMPFIRES ARE ONLY ALLOWED AT THE GROUP SITES.) 

 

How many people can sleep in a cabin?

The one bedroom cabin will sleep four people (1 queen bed and sleeper sofa) the two bedroom cabin will sleep 4 people comfortably and up to six people (1 queen bed and 2 twin beds and a sleeper sofa). Sleeper sofas are available in most cabins.

I have a reservation; can you tell me which cabin I will be staying in?

 

We have over 100 cabins with guests checking in and out daily. Since we do not assign cabins until you check-in, we are unable to confirm which cabin you will be staying in.

 

I made my reservations and paid for a deposit. What kind of confirmation will I receive?

 

A verbal confirmation number will be given when you make your reservations. To request an email confirmation, please ask the Reservation Office. Any reservation without a deposit will be cancelled after 10 days.

 

If I cancel my reservations, will I receive a refund for my deposit?

Should I get a Rental Car?

 

Bellows is approximately 30 minutes away from Joint Base Pearl/Hickam and Honolulu International Airport. The distance from the main road (Kalanianaole Hwy) to Bellows AFS (on Tinker Road) is approximately 3 miles.

 

What amenities are included at each campsite?

Each family campsite comes with a BBQ and 2 picnic tables.

Group sites have 2 BBQ grills, 6 picnic tables, a fire pit and sink. 
Please note: Group site #5 does not include a sink.

 

What are your availabilities / vacancies?

What amenities are included in each cabin?

 

Amenities in cabins include full equipped kitchen, coffee pot, microwave, toaster, stove and refrigerator. In addition, dishes, silverware and cooking utensils for up to six people. Other amenities include a color television with DVD, table, sofa, telephone and ceiling fans.

What housekeeping services do you provide?

Daily housekeeping service includes emptying rubbish cans, making beds, cleaning bathroom, stocking toilet tissue, replacing towels and sweeping floors, when needed. Linens are changed on the fifth day of your stay. Please remove all personal property from your bed(s) so they can be made. If any personal property is left on your bed(s), housekeeping will not remove your personal belongings to make the bed(s).

What is your check-in and check-out time for cabins?

 

Check-in is between 1500 -2100 at the front desk. Check-out is at 1100, guests checking out after 1100 will be charged a late check-out fee of $10 per half-hour, or any fraction thereof, for every half-hour between 1100-1230. If check-out is later than 1230, an additional day's cabin rental fee will be charged. Please DO NOT return to your cabin once you have checked out.

 

What is your check-in and check-out time for campsites?

 

Check-in is between 1500-2100 at the Front Desk. Check-out is before 1300; late fees will be assessed according to the reservations policy.
